Insurance Benefits Enrollment Platform

Business Problem: 

A Global Reinsurance company,  identified a need to support insurance retailers in enhancing their customer onboarding experience. Newly hired employees often faced inefficiencies when enrolling in their employer-provided insurance benefits. Insurance (CI, LI) Retailers lacked a scalable, customizable platform to manage enrollment processes while maintaining compliance with unique business rules, user groups, product configurations, and policy details. This gap hindered operational efficiency and diminished customer satisfaction.

Project Objectives: 

• Develop a Scalable Enrollment Platform: Create a digital solution allowing insurance retailers to offer branded websites for new hires to enroll in insurance benefits seamlessly.
• Enable Customization: Provide functionality to adapt the platform's flow, business rules, and branding to meet the needs of individual retailers.
• Maintain Business Rules and Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory and policy-specific requirements across all deployments.
• Enhance User Experience: Simplify the user journey for employees enrolling in insurance benefits.

Solution Overview

 The platform integrated Broadleaf Commerce for handling eCommerce functionalities and PEGA for implementing business rules, workflow orchestration, and customization. This combination ensured flexibility, compliance, and scalability.
